The term Level Five has to do with the amount of coats of drywall mud to make walls perfectly smooth. This makes a home look not only larger, but more elegant. You don’t have to have a perfect Level Five to give your home this look. Getting the walls to what we call a “Sante fe“ look can be sufficient. This is where there are little divots here and there, but the walls are generally smooth.

Not many homes in the Prescott or Flagstaff Arizona have Level Five or even Santa Fe. I have been in many homes in AZ and mostly what I see is this not so good looking “knock down” texture. It is not a very cultured way of finishing walls, but it’s what we have. Let us know if we can help you get to a Sante Fe or Level Five look. I promise, you will not regret it.

The picture shown is a recent house I painted with my helpers doing the Level Five drywall. It turned out beautiful!
